Our Industry Leader this month is a REAL big deal! Lee is running for the Florida House of Representatives and is a champion of private property rights!
Raleigh "Lee" Steinhauer, Esq. is the founder and president of The Steinhauer Group, LLC, a strategic government and legal affairs firm in central Florida. Lee has served as Government Affairs & Legal Counsel for the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando (AAGO) for the past six years, Government and Legal Affairs Director for the Greater Orlando Builders Association (GOBA), and Legal Counsel to the Florida Apartment Association (FAA).
Lee obtained his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Delaware and juris doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Florida, New Jersey, and New York.
Lee is currently a candidate for Florida State House, District 45, which encompasses West Orange County and parts of Osceola County. He lives in Winter Garden with his wife and two sons.

LEASE TIPS AND TRICKS: EXCLUDING ITEMS FROM THE LEASE

When you rent out a house, the tenant is allowed to use everything there and you are required to maintain and repair everything there UNLESS these items are specifically EXCLUDED from the lease. Often this comes as a huge surprise to the landlord or property manager who assumed something would NOT be the landlord's responsibility.
