THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER AND YOUR RENTAL
During a routine inspection, you see an extension cord running from the driveway into the garage. After a move out at another house, you find a burned out plug inside the garage and signs of a small fire. Maybe your tenant actually contacts you asking if they can install an EV charger. How do you handle all of this? Will it happen? Has it happened?

TITLE THEFT PROTECTION FOR YOU AND YOUR OWNERS
Many property managers and landlords do not understand the risk and extreme hassle of title theft. It is a rapidly growing crime. More commonly, the scammer will transfer the title into someone’s name using a fake deed, along with a crooked or fake notary. This deed gets recorded so, as far as the world knows, the house belongs to someone else. Then, the scammer will attempt to borrow money against the home, creating a lien on the property that nobody realizes until it is too late.
So, what is the solution? You all have heard the commercials for companies which will monitor anything occurring in the County's Official Recording office BUT, there is something you can do right now and it is 100% FREE. We have compiled a list of all counties in Florida to make it easy for you to register. Sign up with the county for the FREE service which will notify you or your property owner depending on how it is set up when something occurs impacting the property.

Robert Carroll
Executive Director
North Central Florida Apartment Association
|
Robert Carroll has served as Executive Director of the North Central Florida Apartment Association for the past 16 years. Alongside a small group of dedicated and selfless leaders, he helped guide the organization from the brink of extinction to a thriving association that has grown its membership by more than 500 percent since 2009.
On a personal level, Robert is the father of three and the youngest of seven children. Raised in a small South Georgia town by a single mother and three protective sisters, he carries with him a deep appreciation for resilience, gratitude, and family. A cancer survivor, he is grounded in his faith and guided by his core principles. He focuses on “controlling the controllables” and entrusting the rest to God—a mindset he supports through a positive daily attitude, regular exercise, and healthy eating habits.
Robert believes his journey has given him the gift of perspective, helping him recognize the beauty in what once seemed common or ordinary. One of his favorite quotes captures this outlook:
“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.” — Søren Kierkegaard

Where Fair Housing Meets Holiday Cheer: Fair Housing laws protect individuals from discrimination based on several factors, including religion.
